About Eric
R&B and Southern Soul, straight from the heart.
Eric Parker is a Southern Soul and R&B singer from Rochester, New York — a proud Madison High man who loves his hometown — now based in Tampa, Florida, the city that brings the best out of him. He has been singing for over 30 years, with years behind the scenes in production and promoting music before stepping fully to the front. His album is A Night with Eric Parker, with singles “Sweet Mango Blunt,” “My Dreams,” and “Tahna I Love You,” on Made Of Money Entertainment. He has opened for Jesse Powell, Gerald Levert, Silk, Keith Washington, and Theodis Ealey, and performs live solo and with a band.
Off stage, Eric’s first love is cooking — in the kitchen and outdoors — and he loves fishing and hunting. One of a big family (he has 6 sisters and 8 brothers), he says his best gift from God is his family. He loves spending time and taking vacations with his wife and kids, and everyone in the Parker family sings. His wife Tahna is the heart of it all — she is the Tahna in “Tahna I Love You.”
A tribute
In Loving Memory
Eric’s mother was his #1 fan. She passed before she could hear his new album, and he wishes she was still here to hear it — so now he sings it for her. In 2020, Eric lost his youngest brother at just 32 years old, taken by gun violence; the person responsible was never found. In 2021, carrying that grief, Eric almost gave up on music. It was his wife Tahna and his kids who woke him back up. As Eric tells it, she said to him:
Get up — God has them now, and He wants you to finish what you have a gift to do.
So Eric Parker sings again — finishing the gift, for them.
